WDC Variation 16 Submissions Close on 30th November.
A reminder that the period to make submissions on Waikato District Council's proposed Variation 16 CLOSES SOON. Probably the most significant changes in the Variation relate to the rural subdivision rules. Copies of the Variation are available from WDC offices or on their website. Submissions must be in to Council by 30th of November 2010. For help making a submission please contact our office on 07 8397799.

Changes to Cadastral Survey Rules force price increase for Boundary Redefinition Surveys
From 24th of May 2010, the Cadastral Survey rules will change, adding the requirement that surveyors lodge a plan with LINZ every time a boundary mark is placed.
Unfortunately this will add to the work and time required to complete a boundary redefinition survey, and we will be forced to raise our prices from that date to reflect this. Prices will also include a new disbursement charge for the LINZ plan lodgement fee of $46.

Hamilton City Boundary Changes
Hamilton City Council are currently consulting on the expansion of the city boundaries to include 4 new areas - north west, and east of the city. Public submissions on the proposal can be made until 4pm 26th of May 2010. Follow the link to the HCC website to find out more

Waikato District Council introduces new Water Supply Bylaw
From March 2010 Council will require that all NEW premises in the Waikato District have a rain water collection tank.
And all new connections to Councils water supply will have a water meter, so that water will be billed based on the amount used.
